We think that we are called to be meaningfully engaged in our culture, both finding and revealing the ideas of God resident therein. We stand against a separatist mentality believing that we are not called to be separate from our culture but from ideas that oppose the Gospel and the ethos of the Kingdom of God – such ideas can be as easily found in a church as in any other place in our society.
pop culture
We think that pop culture (ie movies, music, TV) is the marketplace of the 21st century and, as such, is our point of engagement. We think that God is actively revealing Himself through these mediums. We think that we can inform, and be informed by, the vast array of ideas embedded in all modern expressions of art and poetry.
