We think the Gospel is the foundation of all theology. The Gospel, as we understand it, is the good news that the finished work of Jesus Christ has established God’s permanent and unchanging delight, peace and friendship for any and all who put their faith in Him.
rest
We think that the Gospel has provided us with permanent and unfettered rest - this is rest from trying to please God or working to maintain His affections. As well, we stand firmly in the idea that freedom in Christ is complete - we are free!
faith and our children
We think that faith instruction and development is primarily the responsibility of parents - as a community of faith we purpose to support each other in effectively carrying out that responsibility. Although it is our regular practice for our children to receive faith instruction during our weekly neXus Live, we believe that in order for children to develop a vibrant and growing faith, their early experiences in the church need to be primarily characterized by play and interest.
